Family Worship Center was born in 1986. Pastor Stan Morris birthed the ministry and continues to grow the people
and the church. FWC first met in a small building on Sidney Ave. but quickly outgrew the facilities. We then moved
to Cedar Heights Junior High. In 1993 we were able to purchase the church and building we presently have our offices
in. After outgrowing these facilities, we moved into another building in Gorst. Then there was West Hills Elementary.
Currently, we meet at McCormick Woods in the lower level of The Clubhouse Restaurant.
Pastors Stan and Kaye enjoy being pastors and working with people and other ministries. Their desire is to challenge
people to live their lives for the Lord and be the best people we can possibly be.
FWC is in the process of building a church physically and spiritually. We have purchased 20 acres in the Sunnyslope
area and are believing the Lord for the funding to build a beautiful new facility in Kitsap county.
Pastor Stan's Bio
Pastor Stan was born and raised in Yuma, Colorado. He married his wife, Deanna Kaye, in August of 1965. They have
three daughters, Sheila, Shelley and Sherri. In 1974 the family packed up and moved from Colorado to the Pacific Northwest.
This is when the family decided to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. At that time, Pastor Stan started his
career in the insurance industry and moved to Bremerton. During this time, his mother passed away which is when the
Lord called him into full-time ministry. He immediately began his studies to become a minister. His first position
was as a youth pastor at a small church in Port Orchard. After serving two years at that post, he was led to begin his
own ministry.
This year, 2006, marks the 20th year of ministry for Pastor Stan at Family Worship Center. In recent
years, Pastor Stan has continued his studies and has earned his Doctorate of Divinity through Beacon Institute of Ministry and
is currently earning his Doctorate of Divinity through Beacon University. Pastor Stan currently serves on the board
of directors for Beacon University as well as True Vine Ministries.
In addition to his minstry to the local church and his dedication to education, Pastor Stan has served as
a chaplain for the South Kitsap Fire District for the past 20 years. He is truly and sincerely committed to serving
the people of Kitsap County.
